
David Keen was Associate Vicar at St Peter’s and sister church St James’ from 2006 until the retirement of the incumbent, and became Vicar of this parish in 2017. He once completed the Yeovil half-marathon in clergy robes, and enjoys cricket, curry and blogging. He says “St Peter’s is a lovely welcoming church, right at the heart of the Westfield community. It’s been encouraging to see a growing work with children, families and young people in recent years. There is a real sense of God at work in this community, and it’s an exciting time to be part of St Peter’s.”

Pioneer Associate Vicar – Reverend Sarah Sanderson
Sarah and her family moved to Yeovil recently as we welcomed her as our new Pioneer Associate Vicar on 17th September 2024. Sarah will be focusing on the new addition to our parish at Lufton/Agusta Park and working closely the three churches in our benefice.

John was ordained as deacon recently at Wells Cathedral and is now part of St James’ clergy team..

Parish Administrator – Joanna Newton
Joanna has worked in our Parish Office on Tuesdays and Thursdays since 2013 and also works as administrator for Christian theatre company Oddments and helps with St Peter’s Community Centre accounts. She has two children who are members of our church youth group and can often be found singing with our music group, assisting with the tech/livestream, and assisting with children’s and youth work at St James’ and St Peter’s. “We moved to Yeovil in 2005 and, after trying a few of the local churches for size, found our home in St James’, finding it a warm and welcoming church family. Our children have grown up here from infant baptism to confirmation and beyond.”

Youth Worker – Ruth Glendinning
Ruth leads our Sunday night youth group, as well as a group based at our sister church St Peters, and is a regular in our two local secondary schools.

Children & Families Worker – Laura Broome
Laura has been leading our children’s work including Sunday morning Junior Church, Messy Church, toddler groups and working with our local primary schools.
“We have recently moved to Yeovil and it has been a friendly and supportive church. My children enjoy the different groups, there is something for all ages and everyone is welcome”.

Safeguarding Officer – Jackie Perryman
Jackie is our safeguarding officer and helps with all compliance including DBS checks and training for all PCC members and volunteers working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
