The brand new St Peter’s Community Centre<\/a> opened on 5th October 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Centre replaced the old St Peter’s Hall, and is a facility for the whole Westfield community. It is a great base for local groups, and a welcoming space that is open throughout the week for people to drop in to. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Centre and Church are now open Mon-Thurs 9.30-3 as a ‘Warm Hub’ with free lunches every day. There’s also free wifi and hot drinks, kids corner, lending libary, games\/puzzles, a range of advice services through the week, and rails of winter coats and school uniforms to take what you need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Community Centre has 3 spaces available for hire \u2013 a main hall, meeting room for 15-20 and small room for 2-4. There is also an open plan caf\u00e9\/foyer area, which includes a mini lending library in partnership with Yeovil Library. There is a superbly equipped kitchen, and we aim to create a new community car park on a nearby site. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Centre is accessible for all, with disabled parking, a ramp to the front entrance, level access throughout, and disabled toilets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

St.\nPeters Community Centre is run by a management committee drawn from Westfield\nCommunity Association, St. Peters Church, Yarlington Housing Group, and user\ngroup representatives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Story<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

St Peter’s Community Centre<\/a> replaced St. Peter’s Church Hall, which was built in the 1960s for \u00a3850 (!) but developed a very long list of problems.  The new Centre is the outcome of several years consultation, fundraising and hard work. The new centre was designed by local architects Boon Brown and constructed by Hammonds builders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
